  83. features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may use it
  84. for up to 30 days, without charge (see SEE.DOC for more details).  If
  85. you like the program, and wish to continue its use after this evaluation
  86. period, you are required to pay for the program (see REGISTER.DOC for
  87. more details).  Any fee you may have paid to others (disk vendors,

  112. ===== Installation =====================================

  114. The installation procedure for SEE is quite simple.  The package
  115. includes a program, "INSTALL.EXE", which automates the entire process.
  116. You will need about 64K of available disk space on the hard drive on
  117. which you plan to install SEE.
  118.  
  119. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received SEE.
  120.  
  121.  
  122. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  123.  
  124. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  125.  
  126.    o  Place the SEE File Viewer distribution diskette in the
  127.       appropriate diskette drive.
  128.  
  129.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program on the distribution diskette.
  130.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, type
  131.       the MS-DOS command, "a:install".
  132.  
  133.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  134.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  135.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  136.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  137.       the SEE and KEY files to that directory. If you so direct it, the
  138.       installation program will install executable programs and
  139.       documentation in other directories of your choice.  It will make
  140.       no other changes; specifically, it will not modify your
  141.       autoexec.bat or config.sys files.

  144. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  145.  
  146. If you downloaded SEE from a BBS (or received it in the form of archive
  147. files from some other source), you will need to perform the following
  148. steps.

  150.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  151.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  152.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  153.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  154.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  155.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  156.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  157.       the package.
